Not only does the new iPhone 6s come in a dusty rose color (finally an iPhone to match the bedspread in my hotel room…) but they’ve added a feature called Live Photos that turns any picture you take into a creepy Harry Potter moving portrait. The horror!! More info after the jump!
Apple iPhone 6s Live Photos Are A Harry Potter Nightmare
The iPhone 6s has introduced a ton of new camera improvements including a higher 12 MP resolution (up from 8MP), better auto focus and a front facing flash so Kim Kardashian can get her selfie on in the back of the darkest limo. But the one thing that really stood out for me was the Harry Potter looking Live Photos.
Apparently the camera will automagically record a couple of seconds before and after you press the shutter and save your photo as a weird, privacy invading, moving portrait that you can call up with the touch of a finger.
More dynamic range? Nope. Raw files? Nuh-uh. Faster performance? Sorry. But, Live Photos? Oh ya, we got Live Photos.
Am I the only one that thinks this is just creepy?
What’s your take on the iPhone 6s announcement? Major improvements to the camera that everyone has in their pocket? Or a bunch of crap that you’re never really going to use? Post your ideas in the comments below and keep the conversation going!
