Just look at this Ricoh GR II Silver Edition. Just look at it! Sure, it’s the same Ricoh GR II that street photographers have been using all along but this one is silver. SILVER! But seriously, Ricoh is celebrating its 80th anniversary by producing 3200 copies of this handsome little devil. Hit the jump for more details!
Ricoh GR II Silver Edition
The Ricoh GR II Silver Edition has identical specs to the original GR II – same compact size and excellent build quality. Same 16.2 megapixel APS-C sensor with a max ISO of 25600, and the same 28mm (35mm full frame equiv.) f/2.8 lens. But this one’s silver. SILVER!!
In all fairness, Ricoh nailed the style of this one. The industrial looking silver finish almost resembles galvanized steel and it’s one of the coolest looking special edition cameras I’ve seen in a while. I’m a big fan of the original GR II’s simple style that puts function ahead of form but I’m also a big fan of silver cameras. So this is right up my alley!
The Ricoh GR II Silver Edition will be $699 when it’s finally release which isn’t bad considering it comes with a leather case and it’s silver. But you can always still pick up the very stealthy black Ricoh GR II from your favorite online retailer:
StreetShootr’s Take
Hey, it doesn’t matter what color your camera is. But the Ricoh GR II Silver Edition sure does look pretty! And if I was shopping for a GR II I’d probably want the silver one.
Just look at it!
